I don't go out of my way to write reviews often, but I've bought enough sets of these to feel confident in their ability. I have been using markers as my main medium for several years now. I used to have a set of Prismacolor markers, but they became too expensive to keep replacing and Copics have become even MORE expensive over the years. After some research, I came across these, and, for the price, they exceeded my expectations. The biggest difference was in the black marker, which is darker and has smoother coverage than its Prismacolor counterpart. I've recommended these to undergrad art students, and now my elementary, middle, and high school art students have taken a liking to using these--some even got their own sets!
Cons: They aren't refillable, but they last a good while. I recommend placing a scratch sheet of paper under your work to help with bleed-through (if the set doesn't come with a plastic cover sheet). The caps do not match the ink color, BUT newer sets come with a color-code chart so you can test each marker and see what colors each one produces. I am unsure of how they may fade over time, but keeping artwork out of the sun and/or buying UV protective frames should help preserve color!
