Then I tried Copics, and was blown away by how good the blending was...but the price! Yowch!
These markers from Ohuhu have blending nearly as good as the Copics I've tried, at a WAY more affordable price. Better than any other markers I've tried or can get locally, except the Copics.
There is a learning curve to getting the blending effects you want, but that's true of all alcohol markers I think. I do think these markers have a slightly stronger smell than the Copics I've used, but for a sixth of the price, that's not a deal-breaker for me! The range of colors I can get is amazing.
I will also say, the cap colors aren't THAT helpful figuring out how dark the marker is going to be...but I think you should always be swatching new colors you're not familiar with anyway. And this came with a swatch card that fits in the case!
This marker set comes with a case, a swatch card, a booklet from the manufacturer explaining their products and what colors they have available, and a thin sheet of silicone or plastic that you can use to block bleed-through, all of which fits neatly in the case (which has a handle and zips closed). This is WAY more than I would have gotten for the same amount of money from Copic. I'm extremely pleased with this purchase.
It also came promptly and safely, which is always nice. This gray set was unavailable directly from the manufacturer, so I was worried there might be delays, but it showed up right on time, when Amazon estimated it would.Helpful？ (0) -

Holds up against Prismacolor markers and other high end artist markers. Blends great, with great colors. Came in a nice case with a paper to test colors and a nice plastic sheet to put behind paper to prevent bleeding to another page. I liked them so much I bought more, just with I bought the big pack that has 200+ markers before I got all my other sets of markers. Highly recommend. When I go through all these I’ll be buying the big pack 😊
