I was a bit disappointed when my regular 48 pack didn’t have a great variety of values and I was hoping ohuhu would come out with a pastel pack, so I was thrilled when I caught wind of this. Let me start by saying a lot of the reviews complained about some of the colors not being “pastel” enough, but that’s kind of not the point. If all of the colors here were bright and saturated, the pack would be incredibly bland and repetitive. Duller colors are just as important if you’re doing realism and I think they’re just as pretty too. I can understand how the name of the pack being “pastel” might’ve mislead people a bit, but these are alcohol markers, not water-based brush pens for your bullet journal. These markers are perfect for artists who aren’t beginners but also aren’t professional and can’t afford the top brands like copic. If you’re looking for pretty pastel brush pens for lettering, you’re looking in the wrong place. That being said these markers suit the purpose for which I’m using them very well, and they deserve 5 stars. My only complaint is that since this is a newer pack, they don’t come in the chisel/fine point set like a lot of their other markers do. Brush markers inevitably fray overtime which is why I personally like the fine point markers (unpopular opinion, I understand why people like brush tips though—you can get a variety of line thicknesses easily). Also, Ohuhu’s fine point/chisel tip packs tend to be cheaper lol so I was hoping i could get pastels in that form.

I purchased these before the buying the regular pack since I really want to snatch these up before they sold out again. This is my first time ever using markers and I’ve enjoyed these a good bunch since purchasing them.
They have a good variety of colors and they’re very smooth and satisfying to work with. A perfect Copic alternative.

But recently after some troubling times I have experienced a long term artists block. I want to get back into it but just couldn’t s em to commit. So I decided to get some markers, color pencils, and a few coloring books from Alena Lazavera (who has amazing artwork to color!) and I am pleased!
I am new to using markers, and it’s tricky at first to figure out how to blend. But with the RIGHT set of markers and a couple YouTube videos I’m getting the hang of it! These markers are great I LOVE them! I made the mistake of buying a cheaper brand and regrettably wasted money. But these markers have restored my creative juices and I’m back in the art game! Woohoo! I can’t even think of anything I don’t like about them! 10/10!

Verified BuyerNumber of colors : Brush & Chisel Tips (48-color) 30/12/2020Beautiful pastels!Its exactly what i wanted. To start things off, these colors are absolutely perfect and amazing. Pastel colors are hard to come by in most alchohol marker sets so if you love pastels, this is a must buy.
The Ohuhu markers are of great quality as always and they're brush tipped meaning easy coloring. The set of colors ( as seen in the accompanied color chart) include darker shades so you're not looking at pale inks. They blend extremely well and with darker colors you can make for some impeccable gradients.
The only issue is that some colors do end up darker then their caps depict them as, so it'll be best to keep the color swatch cards on hand. Other then that. I absolutely love these markers and 100% recommend them to any pastel loving artist!

The quality is amazing, and they have an exceptional colour selection now. Additionally, I had an issue with one of my markers, where the brush tip was broken and ruined, and customer service responded within 24 hours of my email to offer me a replacement marker. Hard to find a company better than! I also included an artwork I used these pastel and other Ohuhu markers for the majority of (only the galaxy parts of the skirt and the skin were not done with them!).

They have a smooth brush tip, and a thick chisel tip. The ink flow is great, they blend perfectly and even I used them in a crappy paper, And they worked excellent!!(the green drawing) you can layer them a lot. I used the ohuhu fine liners and the markers didn’t smudge at all. They are very pastel, some of them are a little bit like a highliter and I probably will need to buy the basic colors set to get more contrast and darker colors. But overall they’re a really good investment
